Reconstruction of the Corneal Layers Affected by a Periodic oise Application on Microscopic Interferometry
Hamed, Abdallah; T. Al. Saeed;
Abstract
The objective of this work is to address the problem of corneal layers in presence of periodic noise. Two methods of filtering techniques are used. The first is in the form of two
black circles placed in the spectral Fourier plane to get rid of the spikes corresponding to the periodic structure that appeared in the noisy image. The second filtration method is based on
a band reject filter in order to gain further contrast. The reconstructed corneal images without the noisy pattern are obtained. The relation between the contrast of the reconstructed images and the black circle diameter used in the filtering process is discussed. The effect of the circular aperture enclosing the black circles upon the contrast is shown.
