Intraspecific variation in the morphometrics of Acanthopleura haddoni (Mollusca: Polyplacophora) from the Arabian Gulf and Gulf of Oman

Emam, Waheed; Ismail, Naim M.;

Abstract

The morphometrics of two populations of the rock chiton Acanthopleura haddoni from the Arabian (Persian) Gulf and the Gulf of Oman are described and compared with other species of Polyplacophora. The relationships of the length to width and height of the whole animal are allometric for both populations. Differences between the two populations are in the absolute values of the slope and intercept. © 1993 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
