Alaa Mohammed Yehia Abdullah;
Abstract
General health and oral health affect the individual’s quality of life (QoL) accordingly, they impact the quality of life of the community as a whole (1). Good Oral health can be described in terms of sound teeth and healthy periodontium that are functioning well without pain, discomfort, esthetic or masticatory problems. Sound teeth are protected by intact enamel which is the strongest tissue in the human’s body. It is composed of more than 95% hydroxyapatite, with the remaining being water and organic material, which makes it highly mineralized (2). Its formation can be affected by genetic, environmental or systemic disturbances, leading to enamel defects.
