Nitazoxanide Based New Regimens versus Metronidazole Standard Quadrable Regimen As Rescue Therapy in Treatment of Resistant H.Pylori Gastritis

Amr Samir Labeeb Mustafa;

Abstract

Helicobacter pylori are a Gram-negative, flagellated, spiral-shaped bacterium that penetrates the mucosal layer of the upper gastrointestinal tract. It is responsible for peptic ulcers, gastric cancer, and other gastric diseases and represents 25% of all infection-related malignancies; it is also associated with increased risk for gastrointestinal cancer.
Eradicating H. pylori relieves peptic ulcer disease and reduces the risk of gastric cancer. Globally, the guidelines for the treatment of H. pylori are gradually changing, and the indications are expanding. In addition, with the economic development of many developing countries and the increase in the aging population, the number of people receiving H. pylori eradication is increasing.
