EFFECT OF ANGLES AND SIDES ON STRENGTHENING GEODETIC NETWORKS

Abstract
A traverse is senes of connected straight lines ofobset•ved lengths related to one another by observed angles.
The linear measurements between successive points of the traverse are detet•mined either by direct measurement using a tape nt• Electrcltlic Distance Measuring equipment using E.D.M, total station devices ot• indirect measurement such as tacheometric methods, usim.!. theodolite.
The angular measurements between these lines can be obtained using theodolite or compass according to the accuracy requit•ed.
The Points defining the ends of traverse line are called a traverse stations (temporary or permanent), it may be imn pipe, stone ot• concrete fitted with steel bar.
