Mohamed Mostafa Mohamed Labib;

Abstract

Percutaneous coronary intervention for complex coronaries is a rapidly evolving field. In recent years, the development of new techniques and equipment, as well as the training of specialized personnel, increased their success rates. Although Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) has been primarily used for the revascularization of complex coronary artery disease (CAD) Also, unfortunately sometimes CABG wouldn’t be an appropriate option.
This study aimed to develop an electronic registry for all patients who had percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for intermediate to high SYNTAX score who where indicated for CABG but either rejected by the surgery or the patient himself refused the surgery at Ain Shams University Hospitals (ASUHs) over a period of eight months. To collect data about treatment strategies aiming to analyze the potential risk factors and their effect on the different treatment strategies and to predict the outcomes regarding technical and procedural success during the hospital stay and short term (6 months) follow up.
