Abstract

This study investigated the use of Recycled Vitrified Clay (RVC) wastes in powder to partially replace cement in concrete. Two concrete grades were assigned targeting two different concrete strength: 25 and 65 MPa. Each grade has six mixtures include 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25% (RVC) of cement replacement with RVC. A total of 108 specimens, including cubes of 150 mm (for compressive strength test) and 70 mm (for abrasion test), in addition to cylinder specimens of 50 mm diameter and 100 mm height (for chloride ions penetration test), prism specimens of 500 mm length, 100 mm height and width (for flexural test). The concrete mixtures' fresh, mechanical, and durability properties were examined.
