Abstract
gypt has long been a destination and transit country for large numbers of refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants from across Africa and the Middle East. Refugees and asylum-seekers live in an urban setting in Egypt, and largely concentrated in Greater Cairo, A number of post-migration stressors have been shown to adversely affect mental health in refugees resettled in Egypt. Important post-migration stressors include perceived discrimination, lack of economic opportunity, lack of access to resources, social isolation, family concerns, and poor language proficiency.
Aim of the study
This study aims to assess post-migration stressors and mental well-being among African refugees in Greater Cairo
This aim was achieved through answering the following questions:
1. What are the post-migration stressors among African refugees in Greater Cairo?
2. What are the levels of mental well-being among African refugees in Greater Cairo?
3. What is the relation between post-migration stressors and the mental well-being among African refugees in Greater Cairo?
