Impact of gut microbiota on the epigenetic regulation of Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis in animal model
Shaimaa Hamady Gadallah Selim;
Abstract
Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) is the progressive and inflammatory form of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Despite its great prevalence and prospective risk of progression to cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), there are no approved therapies for NASH until now. Therefore, understanding the pathogenic cellular and molecular mechanisms behind NASH provides valuable clues for identifying new therapies for disease management.
