Abstract


During the last two decades, there has been a significant advancement in the field of ocular drug delivery technology, leading in the development of new treatment options for chronic ocular disorders. The primary objectives of any ocular drug delivery system are to maintain therapeutic drug concentrations at the target site constant, reduce dosage frequency, and overcome a wide range of dynamic and static ocular barriers.
