ROLE OF FDG PET/CT IN EVALUATION OF PATIENTS WITH METASTATIC CANCER BREAST
Dina Abdallah Abbas Hamed;
Abstract
Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer as well as the most common cause of cancer death in women, approximately 30% of breast cancer patients are at the risk of developing recurrence or distant metastasis.
The hormone receptor-positive subtypes (luminal A and luminal B) are the most common subtypes, meanwhile, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-overexpressing (HR− /HER2+) and triple-negative (HR− /HER2−) subtypes are more aggressive subtypes and have poorer outcomes.
