Quality of Life after Radical Cystectomy for Patients with Bladder Cancer
Mahmoud Reda Mahmoud;
Abstract
Radical cystectomy (RC) considered the standard of care for muscle invasive disease. Procedure-related complications and readmission rates following RC are high, which can reduce the quality-of-life (QoL) in patients. In addition, RC may negatively impact urinary, bowel, and sexual function, as well as affect body image, which can decrease QoL and lead to psychological problems (Spiess, et al., 2017).
