Abstract

This in vitro study aimed to assess the remineralization of artificially demineralized enamel lesion using different remineralizing agents, through different time intervals. And to assess the resistance of the remineralized enamel lesion to further acid attack simulation using Microcomputed tomography and Optical coherence tomography
Artificial carious lesions were induced in extracted human premolars. using a chemical model of buffered Lactic acid. for 48-and-72 hours. After that samples were sub-grouped and remineralized using two fluoride-based varnishes, self-assembly peptide-based agent, and artificial saliva which used as a negative control. Following that samples were subjected to a well- established pH-cycling regimen. The samples were scanned using Micro-Ct and OCT at different time intervals.
