IMPACT OF UTILIZATION OF SLAG BASED GEOPOLYMER COMPARED TO FIBER-REINFORCED SLAG BASED GEOPOLYMER IN TERMS OF MECHANICAL AND PHYSICAL PROPERTIES

Abstract
In this research, the possibility of creating reinforced slag-based geopolymer was examined, assessing the percentage of fiber, and using two main types of fibers to examine the impact of that on the mechanical and physical properties for the slag-based geopolymer concrete. Also, two different slag contents were namely used (400kg and 500kg) to meticulously inspect whether that will have any impact on the newly reinforced slag-based geopolymer or not. Through the research, reinforcing the slag-based geopolymer with fiber yielded better mechanical properties and thus strengthened the possibility of using slag-based geopolymers with full cement replacement as the new green concrete.
