Different variables predicting ovulatory response among clomiphene citrate resistance and clomiphene citrate sensitive patients with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome

Alaa Sherif Zakaria Saad Elsewafy;

Abstract

Summary
Clomiphene citrate has a success rate of 52% regarding the ovulatory rate and 12% regarding the clinical pregnancy rate.
Variables predictive of a good induction response were the BMI (cut off of 27.8 Kg/m2), Avocado fat distribution, serum TSH and prolactin.
Regression analysis revealed that the BMI had the highest diagnostic criteria while the TSH and Prolactin had high specificity and positive predictive value.
