Abstract

This research suggests eight criteria to deal with the quality of work life in the institutions of child culture: management style, job characteristics, organizational climate, job security, training and capacity development, fair compensation, physical work environment and home work interface. The field study is made in all the institutions of child culture in Cairo, namely, the General Administration for Child Culture, the General Administration for Specialized Palaces, the National Center for Child Culture, the Child Palace at Zinhum, the Specialized Child Palace at Garden City and the Child Cultural Park at Sayedda Zeineb. The results reveal a number of negative indicators that affect the Quality of Work Life: poor incentives, the lack of procedural justice and job insecurity, among other things.
