Mutagenic Studies of (Sevin) On Mice Embryonic Cells

Abstract

40 embryos of Swiss albino mice were used in this study. Embryos collecting after 12 . day of pregnancy were divided into 4 groups , 10 embryos of mice were allotted to each group, the pregnant mothers of these embryos were injected orally by carbaryl in the of pregnancy according to the following doses. Group (1) :- 10 embryos served as control (at which the pregnant Group(2):- Group (3):- Group (4):- mothers were not injected). Pregnant mothers received a single dose (16.7 mg!kg) of carbaryl (sevin) pregnant mothers received a single dose (25 mg!kg) of sevm pregnant mothers received a single dose (50 mg!kg) of seVIn. Then 10 embryos from each dose were used in these experimentes. Various chromosome aberrations in embryo mice cells were observed quantitated and statistically analyzed.
