Abstract
Parasitic infection in fann animals constitute a maJor hazard to livestock production and causes economic loss. This beside zoonotic importance to human by direct contact specially with protozoal diseases. So it is very important to make a trial for investigating this problem. 230 cases of cattle were examined and 25 cases of infected cattle used in the present work in different ages. These cattle were divided after parasitological examination according to the type of parasitic infection into six I:,:rroups each group of them five cases.
Group I infected with Trichostrongylus gm., I:,:rroup II infected with Neoascaris vitulorum, group III infected with Moniezia gm., group IV infected with Cryptosporidium parvum, group V infected with Eimeria bovis and group VI used as a control.
Blood sample of about one ml was colleted from jugular vein on EDTA as anticoagulant from each infected case and control one and used for blood cytology, another blood sample of about ten ml was collected also from jugular vein and left to clot for serum separation to perfonn the biochemical analysis, and estimation of immunoglobulins.
The leukogram showed leucocytosis, neutrophilia ,eosinophilia in all groups especially group I and II. Monocytosis in all groups except group V were observed. Lymphocytes showed non significant increase in all groups.
Proteinogram finding revealed hypoproteinemia and hypoalbuminemia, in all groups specially in groups IV and V, on the other hand non significant decrease in alpha globulin in all groups was present.
