Effect of Two Different Implant Surface Treatment on Peri-Implant Bone Height of All-On-Four Implant Retained Mandibular Overdenture

Abstract


Study was conducted to compare the effect of different implant surface treatment on bone height changes around straight and angled implants placed using All on Four concept during the follow up period of one year. Results were recorded, collected, tabulated, and statistically analyzed.
Fourteen patients were selected from the outpatient clinic of prosthodontic Department, Faculty of Dentistry, Ain Shams University.
Two groups were randomly divided, each group contains seven patients.
Group A: Patients with completely edentulous maxillary and mandibular ridges rehabilitated with maxillary complete denture and mandibular implant supported overdentures using All on Four concept with dental implants treated with Acid Etching technique.
Group B: Patients with completely edentulous maxillary and mandibular ridges rehabilitated with maxillary complete denture and mandibular implant supported overdentures using All on Four concept with dental implants treated with DMLF technique.
The selected patients were free from any systemic diseases, para-functional habits, smoking habits and temporo-mandibular joint disorder. intra and extra oral examination were done for all patients.
Guided Surgery was done by flapless technique using tissue
