Abstract

The present study, vascularization of the pelvic limb of the geese and renal elimination of Marbofloxacin is carried out on eighty five adult, healthy geese (Anser anser domesticus) ages about 120-140 day, weighting about 2.8 to 3.5 kilograms of body weight of both sexes for anatomical, histological and pharmacological studies.
The arterial blood supply and the venous drainage of the pelvic limb of the geese are demonstrated by injection of Gum milk latex neoprene; red of arteries and blue for veins and prepared by ordinary routine methods and preserved using formalin 10%, phenol 4% and glycerin 1% mixture before dissection. In addition, radiographic pictures are prepared by injection of some of specimens by urographin 76% from external iliac vein, two of specimens are injected by barium sulphate - gelatin mixture from the caudal vena cava and radiographed.
The arterial blood supply of the pelvic limb of geese is achieved by the external iliac artery which does not proceed the level of the stiffle joint, while the main arterial blood supply is the ischiatic artery. The external iliac artery gives off the pubic artery then continues as the femoral artery. The ischiatic artery proceeds along the whole length of the limb and changes its name according to the region it supplies. The ischiatic artery continues as the popliteal artery in the leg region. The foot receives its arterial supply through the cranial tibial artery and its branches.
