OPTIMIZATION OF RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES IN HYBRID ENERGY SYSTEMS

Mona Mysara Ahmed Algaml;

Abstract

The optimization of Renewable Resources of Energy in Hybrid Energy Systems (HESs) is a multi-objective topic that takes into consideration the economical, technical and environmental issues. This thesis deals with the formulation of the problem of optimization and develops the equality and inequality constraints that the solution must satisfy to have a reliable and economical feeding power system. The Solving Tool is “HOMER" software. To verify the procedure, it is applied on a selected project at Upper Egypt. Twelve HESs’ configuration are proposed to supply the demand and the results have been discussed.
