edia attention in recent years has created an increased patient demand for gluteal contouring and augmentation worldwide. In 2014, buttock augmentation was ranked thirteenth of all surgical procedures performed by members of the international society of Aesthetic plastic surgery
Autologous fat grafting has become a popular procedure in plastic surgery. Modern fat grafting started as a mean for facial rejuvenation and correction for soft tissue contour deformity in the mid-1990s and championed by Coleman.
In this study, candidates were classified into two main groups, each group contained thirty patients; group one was used as a control group for anthropometric measurements and group two comprised the surgical group of females seeking gluteal enhancement and was further divided equally into three subgroups; according to the volume of infiltrated fat and the site of infiltration; group one, the amount of fat injected up to 400cc, in group two from 400 to 800 cc, while in group three more than 800cc injected in both subcutaneous and intramuscular planes. Fat injected in the intramuscular plane survived more than the subcutaneous plane by 16 to 25 % and can be explained by high blood supply easier in this plane.
