Amany Edward Asaad;
Abstract
Three groups of subjects wet-e included in this work:
1- 37 insulin dependent diabetic patients.
38 non insulin dependent diabetic patients.
15 control subjects.
The three groups were subjcted to careful clinical examination,.
direct ophthalmoscopic examination, they were also subjected to
( determination of blood glucose ( fastillg and post-prandial,
in urine, serum creatinine levels and plethysmographic examination.
The results of our work showed that: A- The insulin dependent diabetic group:
1- There were 26 patients had cutaneous microangiopathy and this was of statistical significance being more in existance in this group.
2-the relationship between of patients and cutaneous
microangiopathy was a no statistical significance, they were
include 14 males and 12 females.
3- There was no statistical significance between the presence of
diabetic cutaneous microangiopathy and the age of patients, the mean of their ages was 28.4!11.6 years.
4- There was a statistical significance between the presence of
diabetic cutaneous microangiopathy and the duration of diabetes, the
mean o-f the duration of diabetes was 16.7:!:3.9 years.
5- There was a statistical significance between the presence of
diabetic cutaneous microangiopathy and the severity of diabetes.
