Investigating The Factors Affecting Pavement Overlay Service Life

Abstract

The first work done in this research was reviewing the literature relevant to the models used to study the different factors affecting pavement performance. Secondly, data were collected from the Long Term Pavement Performance (LTPP) data base especially GPS-6 project. After data collection, neural network was chosen in building the model, validation operations were performed on the neural model, The model shows high precision in investigating the factors affecting pavement behavior. Results and output data were extracted from the model to investigate the behavior of pavements under different influential factors, Various graphs could be drawn using the network model, For example by varying the temperature values and putting the other factors as average values, you will be able to construct a relation between the output
