Abstract
The problem of children with special needs is one that must be given a great deal of attention .
Autism is one of the most general and progressive disorders in terms of its impact on an individual's behavior (Hossam Ahmed, 2006: 33).
One of the features related to autistic disorder is Echolalia, in which the child repeats what is heard from another person.
A teacher could ask the child for example: "would you like some cake?". The response of the child is repeating what is heard by responding by: "would you like some cake?" (Ann carinj, Sherry Johnson, Gerald Davidson, and John neil, 2016: 856) example translation by Hady, Fatmah Salamah, Hanaa Shweikh, Malak Hossam, Nadia Abdullah.
Social stories help children with autism spectrum disorder understand and respond appropriately to the social situations they encounter by anticipating what can happen and why (Harkema, 2018).
Due to the importance of social stories to children who suffer from autism disorder, their positive impact on their lives and the negative effects of Echolalia which hinders the development of social interactions and verbal communication, a study shall be conducted to reveal precisely the extent of efficiency of a social-story-based program to reduce the percentage of autistic children suffering from Echolalia.
