Abstract

Detection of the general clinical and physiological response of the rats according to the protocol treatment of deltamethrin, where the results
"'--1 disclosed that treatment with high dose (115 LD50) caused in creasing in
percent of mortalitiy to a higher extent (50%) than did the low on (1110
LDso )(40%) at the first 4 weeks of treatment.
Advanced treatment showed a plateau of the percent of mortality in the rats received the lower dose, while the other one recorded a high rate as a result of dose accumulation in side the body.
The gradually advanced treatment caused a notable significant increase in total body weight during the period of 8 weeks of treatment. In an opposite manner, the lower dose disclosed nonsignificant decrease in total weight during the experimental period.
The decreasing trend in the total body weight of treated rats was accompanied with signs of direct intoxication on the nervous system.
II) Studying the effect of deltamethrin on certain hematologic parameters:-
- Data revealed the occurrance of notable servers leuopenia in a dose dependent manner and accompanied by a change in the differential formula which indicated a marked gradual decrease in lymphocyte count of rats pretreated with the high dose during the experimental period,
