A STUDY ON DIFFERENT HYDRAULIC EXCAVATORS USED IN AGRICULTURAL PROCESSES UNDER EGYPTIAN CONDITIONS

Abstract


This investigation was carried out at Sharkia Province lands.
The main objective of lis research is to determine the suitable
size of hydraulic excavator
anrecognize the annual activity to obtain
high working hours with high efficiency all year round.
Through obtained data, the conclusion of this study can be summarized as follows:
1- Operating efficiency:
The highest working efficiencies 85.095, 85.59 were recorded with excavators (A) and (E) having powers of (50 and 73.6 kW)
respectively, while the lowest operating efficiencies of 67.093 and
68.84% were recorded with Jxcavators (H) and (I) having powers of
(64.7 and 77.18 kW) respJtively. It was found that the average
working hours/day, 45.1
2- Cycle time:

The lowest cycle timeslwere 11.9 and 10.7 sec with excavators
(E) and (A) (73.6 and 50 k)V) respectively, while the highest cycle

time recorded was 19.1 sec +th excavator (B) (86.5 kW).
