Heba Maher Abd-Elsalam Elfeky;

Abstract

ursing schools are the basic and fundamental stone of the nursing education profession. Problem based learning is soon to become the dominant form of education in the world. A lot of effort is being devoted into furthering the work methods and communication among nursing students. Moreover, further development of nursing education in the future will depend on the advance of technologies and the Internet (Basavanthappa, 2013).
The problem based learning is a student- centred learning. The student- centred learning refers to learning opportunities that are relevant to the students and the goals of which are at least partly determined by the students themselves. This does mean that the teacher abdicates her authority for making judgment regarding what might be important for students to learn (Loyens et al., 2014).
Aim of the study:
The present study aimed to assess the effect of problem based learning versus traditional method of learning at nursing schools through the following:
1- Assess knowledge and attitude of the nursing students regarding the problem based learning versus the traditional learning.
