Abstract


Habitual snonng is a common disorder that can lead to senous longterm heath and social problems. It is considered • a risk factor for development of hypertension, ischemic heart disease and cerebrovascular disease.


Investigations for snonng include fiberscopy with muller's maneuver, pulse oximetery, CT scan to measure the pharyngeal lumen and polysomnography.


The management options for snoring begins conservative including weight loss, elevation • head of the bed, discourage sleeping on back, smoking cessation and dental prosthesis.


The palatal surgery ts recommended as the first line surgical

• treatment.



The present study was performed to study;

1- The clinical evaluation of patients complaining of snoring and to analyze the different diagnostic parameters.
2- To compare between laser and radiofrequency m performing the palatal mucosal flap technique.
3- To assess the value of the newly introduced somrioplasty m the treatment of snoring.
