EVALUATION OF SOME FEED ADDITIVES ON CLINICAL AND RUMINAL FUNCTION OF SHEEP

Abstract


A total number of 100 Egyptian female Balady sheep constituted the material of this investigation. The animals were chosen from farm ofEl­ Hawatka, Assiut Governorate and from Veterinary Clinic, Faculty of
Veterinary Medicine, Assiut Univeristy, all animals were subjected to both
clinical and laboratory methods for examination to ensure their healthy
condition.
The investigation extended for 45 days during which rumina! samples from each animal were taken at 15 days interval. The animals were classified to 5 groups each group 20 animals as follow:
A ) The first group was given 3 grams of mophcophose for each animal.
B ) The second group was given 4 grams of mophcophose for each animal.
C ) The third group was given 5 grams of mophcophose for each animal.
D) The forth group was given 2.5 grams ofpronifer.
E ) The fifth was used a control and was given only the standard ration.
All obtained samples of rumina! juice were examined physically microbiologically and biochemically.
A - Physical analysis including at colour - odour - consistency.
