Synthesis and Characterization of Some Nanomaterials and their Applications in Water Treatment

Ahmed Radwan Ibrahim Radwan;

Abstract

The aim of current thesis is preparation of optical chemsensors and adsorbent based on metal-organic frameworks for sensing and trapping of toxic heavy metals and dyes in environmental applications. The thesis is divided to three chapters and pronounced as follows:
Chapter I: Introduction and Literature Review
In chapter I, general introduction, and literature review about the main objectives of my work in this thesis were discussed and investigated. Moreover, the fabrication of optical nanosensors and adsorbent based on nanoporous carriers and its advantage in modern analytical techniques. A literature review on the measurement of heavy metals such as Hg2+ ions using microporous chemosensors and adsorption of MG dye were discussed.
Chapter II: Experimental Work
In chapter II, different experimental techniques that have been employed to study the structure, spectral characterization of optical nanosensors and adsorbent were completed demonstrated. Furthermore, the fabrication methods of optical nanosensors and adsorbent were completed studied.
