Abstract


Using .Gis spatial .data The, Area that divided .to six spatial zones that coded by from zone. 2 to zone 6. The, distance between. Zone 10 km that extends from the, .north to south and cover 60% from .Agriculture area in .Giza. governorate.
Using remote-. sensing tools to assess polluted .agricultural plant is a mission that was never. done before in Egypt. Qualitative. and quantitative estimation .of. heavy metals could be quite. helpful for agricultural. exportation and quality control. for agricultural products. The, .current study proposed. a remote- sensing based .methodology. to assess contamination of.. six heavy metals: Nickel (Ni), .Cadmium (Cd), Chromium (Cr) ., Lead (Pb), Zinc (Zn) and Mercury . (Hg) in two fruit .vegetation in Egypt.: Citrus and Mango. The, study .area was carefully .selected as one .of. the, most cultivated areas. in Egypt suffering from .heavy pollution. because it is very close to. huge industrial zone and .highway network.
The, first step to .achieve the, objectives of. the, .study was to identify the, area and the, spatial. distribution in where Citrus and Mango .are cultivated in. the, study area. This was achieved through .produced land cover map that .based on the, global land. cover standardization (FAO – .LCCS) and crop. map that accurately showed the,. spatial distribution of. the, two cultivations. along the, study area, land cover and crop .maps were produced using. Sentinel satellite imagery. The, collected (GCPs) .were used for the, classification .process. Depending on the, FAO. LCCS .system, land. cover .and land .use maps produced. The, FAO. method is a "priority" .classification. system, which defines all .the, classes before the, .classification. conducted, it was found. that the, total Citrus .area covers
