ON SOME PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF CERAMIC MATERIALS OF TRANSITION ELEMENTS

KHALED MOHAMED AHMED MAHMOUD ROUMAIH;

Abstract

Oxides of the transition elements in a mixed divalent and trivalent state in ferroxcubes, provide the opportunity to study the possibility of electron exchange between divalent and trivalent ions , which may have a striking influence on physical properties such as crystal and magnetic structure , and electric conductivity , which is the aim of this thesis .
Copper ferriet and copper containing ferrites have
been a focus of continued interest because of their significance electrical and magnetic properties and crystal structure change due to heat treatment .
This thesis has three chapters :
Chapter 1:
A complete description of theoretical concepts necessary to be reviewed before going further to the main experimental work; such as crystal structure, magnetic structure, and electrical properties of spinel ferrites. The factor affecting the characteristic parameters of the spinel unit cell is mentioned. A general review of the magnetic behavior of ferrites is mentioned. This chapter also includes a fundamental review of the AC & DC electrical conduction phenomena. The mechanisms of conduction and polarization dielectrics in ferrites are summarized with a review of literature, which included some useful of
research works previously done.
Chapter 2:
• Shows the influence of heat treatment on the structure for some mixed ferrites. The preparation of the
studied samples [Ni.Cu,FeMnO (0 < x < 1)] by the usual ceramic method . Its X-ray diffraction analysis for the
obtained spectra was revealed the formation of the desired
