Abstract


Learning difficulties are considered one of the special educational problems because they have educational, psychological and social dimensions due to the increase in the number of students who suffer from learning difficulties from one or most of the school subjects due to their academic deficits, and their repeated failure in the classroom, which makes them not compatible with the regular classes and the regular curricula. They lag behind in their thinking or do not develop the capacity for creativity, or those who face extreme difficulty in learning to read or do some math operations, and in general they are unable to learn by usual methods even though they are not mentally disabled, but they may lag behind their peers and may fail to learn for various reasons.
(2) Problem of the Study:
Study Question can be defined as follows:-

(3) Aim of the Study:
The Present Study Aims at the following:
The present study aims to reveal The effectiveness of Training Program on Meta-Knowledge Strategies to Improve Mind Habits for Primary School Pupils learning disabilities.
(4) Importance of the Study:
The importance of the current study is represented in two aspects, theoretical and practical, as follows:
• Theoretical importance:
1. The scarcity of studies that dealt with programs based on metacognition strategies to improve the habits of the mind (perseverance - control recklessness - listen with understanding and compassion - struggle for accuracy - applying past knowledge to new situations) among elementary school students with difficulties learning to read in the Egyptian environment .
2. The importance of the age stage that the study is exposed to, which is the primary school pupils, who are among the most important pillars of any society.
3. The importance of the variables covered by the study. Metacognition strategies, habits of mind and difficulties learning to read are an important and essential indicator of cognitive psychology and mental health.
4. A study of the habits of the mind may help in achieving a balance between the rapid changes and transformations that are taking place in society and between what the individual feels about these changes and his responsibility towards them.
5. The study of metacognitive processes is necessary for the student with learning difficulties to read when learning.
