ADVANCED OXIDATION PROCESSES FOR TREATMENT OF OILY WASTEWATER PRODUCED FROM NATURAL GAS PROCESSING

Elsayed Yousef Hassan Abou Shaheen;

Abstract

In this study, the Photo-Fenton process is proposed for degradation of organic pollutant especially oil content containing in produced water from natural gas processing were studied. A laboratory set-up was designed and several parameters were also studied: H2O2 concentration, pH, Fe(II) concentration, and oil concentration to define optimum operating conditions at temperature 30 ºC within 2.5 hr. irradiation time.
