Abstract


The multimode slotted microstrip star-junction has paved the way to realize novel single-ended to balanced coupler. It then applies it to realize fully-differential BM for the first time. The coupler has favorable performances compared to similar structures in the literature. The slotlines provided the excitation of the proposed couplers, while the slotline to differential coupled-microstrip line transitions enabled the extraction of the differential signals and maintained the phase relation between the ports. The hybrid coupler achieved 12% 15-dB return loss and isolation fractional bandwidth. the phase
