Work Related Stress, Anxiety, Depression among School Teachers in General Education

Abstract
his study aimed to measure the frequency and possible professional, environmental and administrative risk factors of work related stress, anxiety and depression among school teachers.
The study was carried on 400 teachers from a governmental school in Kobri Elkoba district. Their ages range from 20 to 59years old. 35.8% of them were males and 64.2% were females.
Self-administered questionnaire was used which included sociodemographic characteristics and the risk factors of stress in school environment which is prepared by a group of experts from facilities of medicine, education and faculty of women Ain Shams University, in addition DASS42 (Depression, Anxiety and Stress scales) was used to measure stress, anxiety and depression levels.
The frequency of work related stress, anxiety and depression were 96.8%, 58.5% and 48.8% respectively. These frequencies are considered high and needs further studies for urgent intervention.
There is a statistically significant association was observed between gender, residence outside Cairo, hypertension and diabetes and work related stress, anxiety and depression.. This indicates the necessity for the geographic
