Nursing Instruction Guidelines for Controlling Gastritis among Older Adult

Abstract

The study aimed to evaluate the effect of nursing instructions guidelines for older adult for controlling gastritis through:- - Assessing health needs &health problems for elderly adults with gastritis. - Assessing older health history status. - Assessing daily living pattern and practice older adult about gastritis. - Designing intervention program for older adult to improve their knowledge and healthy practices regarding controlling gastritis. - Evaluating the effect of the knowledge and practices of the older adult to controlling gastritis. Technical design: The technical design includes, study design, research setting, subjects and tools were used for data collection. Study Design: A quasi experimental design was used to achieve the aim of the study.

Research setting: This study was conducted at the University Hospital and Shebin El Koum Teaching Hospital in outpatient clinics orthopedic clinics, and medicine clinic. The university hospital is the largest hospital concerned with providing care and treatment for the elderly with chronic diseases for free. The hospital provides medical and nursing services at the highest level of good health standards Subjects of the Study:- A purposive samples of elderly suffering from gastritis was used from the pre mentioned setting with a total number of around 5% of total number of older adult who attended the clinics for follow up till September 2017 for examination or take treatment equal number arroun1200 but available during study 60 elderly and take the agreement from statistical department in the setting. Criteria of Sample selection: The inclusion criteria of the study involved: • Aged 60 years old and more. • Conscious and agree to participate in the study. • Diagnosed gastritis by doctor • Diagnosed at least 3monthes.
