Abstract


There is no doubt that the early childhood stage is one of the most important stages of life, in which the habits that accompany the individual throughout his life are formed. Most of the nutrition problems are due to wrong dietary behavior patterns, which in turn lead to a lack of correct eating habits, and this requires directing more attention to nutritional health, which includes modifying dietary practices.
Food is one of the most basic elements necessary for the sustainability and continuity of life, and good balanced nutrition is needed by all healthy and sick individuals, rich and poor, young and old alike, as food plays a large and important role in human life because it helps him grow and proper nutrition avoids exposure to diseases. of all kinds.
The early childhood stage is one of the very important and decisive stages in the future health of the child, because it is the period in which the first seeds of good health are laid, whose features are crystallized, and appear in the future of the child’s life, as it is affected by the behavior, knowledge and nutritional culture that the child acquires through his interaction with the family. Kindergarten and society.
Nutrition is one of the important topics for healthy and sick children. Food is necessary for physical and mental integrity and social compatibility. Good food is important for the growth of children in early childhood.
This is confirmed by many early studies that discussed the nutritional status of children under five years old, such as the study of Abd al-Salam Majeda, the study of Abd al-Rahman Jamila and others, which indicated the existence of a relationship between child nutrition and physical, psychological and mental development and the role of proper nutrition
