The Effectiveness of Using International Activities to Enhance English Writing Skill for Official Language Prep School Students

Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of using International Activities to enhance English writing skill for Experimental language prep school students. The study was a quasi-experimental, a whole classroom of thirty students in third prep stage at Eslam Mashhour Experimental language school, Cairo Governorate was selected as a one- group pretest-posttest design to receive training via this program, the participants worked cooperatively to implement the program in variable workshops for writing descriptive and persuasive paragraphs, they exchanged their writing via some Internet applications with other students in different countries, to collect the data, pre and posttest were administered and analyzed through using t. Test and the effect sizes was calculated, a formative test was also conducted to improve students' achievement, the participants' views were obtained through a semi-structured interview and a satisfaction questionnaire at the end of the intervention, in addition to conducting an external teacher observation report. Finally, findings of both quantitative and qualitative data analysis showed a statically significant difference between the pre and posttest in favor of the post test, the development of students' paragraph writing after receiving the treatment was due to the progress in their writing proficiency and the improvement of their interpersonal skills, as well.
