Evaluation of lmmunonephelometric and Immunoturbidimetric Methods for Estimation of Soluble Transferrin Receptor In Serum
Asmaa Ismail Ahmed;
Abstract
The soluble transferrin receptors are ofthe most important markers in iron deficiency anaemia. It is related to the intact receptors concentration. This study was undertaken to evaluate immunoturbidimetric, immunonephelometric , ELISA methods for estimation ofsTtR. In precision study, the immunoturbidini.'l:tric method showed an excellent C.V of
4.46% & 3.4% respectively. As for Immunonephelometric
method it was 4.3% for the high control, but was unacceptally high for the low control18%. For the ELISA method, it was acceptable (10% & 5%). The LDL was acceptable for both lmunoturbidimetric (0.07 mg/L), and ELISA methods
(47.6 u/L).
