study of some nanomaterials as a potential electrode for rechargeable Li-ion batteries

Menna-Allah Mahmoud Ghannam;

Abstract

In order to approach the objectives and aims of the work, this thesis is structured as follows. After the introduction and a brief literature survey on the development of used materials were reported in previous studies.
Chapter 2 discussed the theoretical backgrounds, explained the fundamental concepts, electrochemical principles of batteries and operating conditions of lithium batteries.
Chapter 3 included the history and classification of batteries. In addition, comprehensive literature survey of the different types of used materials as anode, cathode, and electrolyte in lithium-ion batteries
Chapter 4 described the experimental procedures for the fabrication of electrodes and cells assembly and the used materials characterization techniques.
Chapter 5 essentially focused on the experimental results and their discussion for the physicochemical, optical, dielectric and electrochemical properties for the samples under study.
Finally, conclusion of the work.
