Nursing Strategies for Alleviating Endometriosis Related Symptoms

Abstract


Endometriosis is the presence of endometrial tissue outside the uterine cavity, and it is the most common cause of chronic pelvic pain. About 24 to 40% of women with chronic pelvic pain diagnosed with endometriosis, which includes a variety of symptoms as dysmenorrhea, dyspareunia, fatigue, dyschezia, and dysuria. So that it had a negative impact on women's health and wellbeing, (Armour et al., 2019).
Studies of endometriosis are critical and sensitive for all females across the life span, also studying strategies & self-management therapies or lifestyle interventions for alleviating endometriosis-related symptoms is an essential issue in managing endometriosis symptoms.
The present study aimed to evaluate the effect of nursing strategies on alleviating endometriosis-related symptoms. An intervention study had been implemented at gynecological clinics in Omam Hospital.
A purposive sampling technique was used by selecting all cases admitted to the gynecological clinics and meeting the study's criteria (All women diagnosed with endometriosis "minimal, mild &moderate grade" regardless of their age, educational level and parity, Had telephone number for contact, & Free from any medical or gynecological problems except endometriosis).
