The relationship between the density of Cues with interactive infographics and the cognitive style in a web-based learning environment and its impact on the development of achievement and digital fluency
Shaban Hamdy Telep Mohamed;
Abstract
Infographic is one of the latest e-learning technologies that have been widely used in recent times, due to its capabilities and ability to summarize and display information and data in a graphical manner that provides information in a concise and easy-to-understand way.
Interactive infographic is a medium for building knowledge, ideas, understanding relationships and different phenomena through drawings, shapes, static and interactive images, which helps to establish and embody diverse concepts and knowledge in the mind of the learner and make them interesting and more effective (Gebre, 2020, p. 16). The interactive infographic contains three basic components identified by Yildırım (2016, p. 94) in the visual element, text content, knowledge or concept. One of the characteristics of infographics, visual representation of information, diversity in design, purposeful, coding and abbreviation of information and concepts, is shareability.
Research and studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of infographic use in many areas, such as Thomas (2012), Iman Makram Study (2013), Sidneyeve & Jaigris Study (2014), Sims & Kos Study, (2014), Kibar & Akkoyunlu Study (2014), Salwa Fathi Study (2015), Amr and Amany (2015) Marian Study (2015), Noh (2015), Unila Study (2015), Tanner Study (2016).
The researcher noted that most of these studies focused on the use, use and use of infographic technology in general, and did not concern these studies with the variables of its design, nor did it address the link of visual stimuli and Cues to infographics, or address the size, number, or level of intensity of these Cues.
As these researches and studies have agreed on the effectiveness of the use of interactive Infographic in general, the current research has tended towards improving and increasing the effectiveness of Infographic, by studying the variables of its design, and the intensity of insinuations in infographics is one of the most important of these variables, and therefore the current research deals with the detection of the impact of the relationship intensity of insinuations with interactive infographics and cognitive method on the development of achievement and digital fluency and the
