Abstract
Ultrasound biomicroscopy is a safe and effective adjunctive tool for the clinical assessment and management of ocular trauma, especially when visualization is limited due to corneal opacity, inflammation, hypopyon etc...
In ocular trauma, Ultrasound biomicroscopy may under certain conditions clearly is of a higher diagnostic value than other procedures. Therefore, UBM should not only be considered as an additional examination technique in cases of ocular trauma, but rather as the technique of choice.
