Assessment of Stressor and Coping Styles of Mothers having Infant with Tracheoesophageal Fistula

Abstract
Chronic or sever illness such as Tracheoesophageal fistula and its serious complications in neonate and infant affects the psychological health of the mothers. Active coping strategies are associated with fewer distress indices and thus if inculcated may improve the ability to bear the burden of the illness without becoming themselves affected by psychiatric illnesses (Hanas, 2012).
Aim of the study;
This study was aimed to assess stressors and coping styles for mothers having infant with trachea-esophageal fistula.
Research Questions
To fulfill the aim of this study, the following research questions are formulated
1. Are mothers having neonate or infant suffering TEF have physical stressor?
2. Are mothers having neonate or infant suffering TEF have psychological stressor?
3. Are mothers having neonate or infant suffering TEF have social stressor?
