Abstract


Childhood cancer has been recognized as one of the major health problems worldwide, as well as it defined as a significant serious health issue in the developing countries. Children suffering from cancer and their parents are facing many stressors resulting from cancer side effects and it's treatment or the invasive procedures which the child exposed, these stressors are physical, psychological, social and financial. Nurses play a vital role in caring and educating those children and their parents to improve their knowledge, alleviate their stressors and promote their positive coping patterns toward cancer and its treatment (Hess and Gap, 2020).
The aim of the study
The aim of the study was assess stressors and coping patterns of children with newly diagnosed cancer during invasive procedures.
Research questions
1- What are the stressors and coping patterns of children with newly diagnosed cancer during invasive procedures?
2- Is there relationship between stressors and coping patterns of children with newly diagnosed cancer during invasive procedures and their personal characteristics?
