Abstract
The study conducted a case control study including 20 patients aging above 18 years old. We divided patients into three groups: group 1: ten patients had a history of AACG in one eye, group 2: fellow eyes of AACG served as control eyes, group 3: other 10 normal participants had participated with one eye as normal controls.
The study included patients who met the following inclusion criteria; patients experienced a sudden onset of the following symptoms; ocular discomfort or pain, nausea, and/or vomiting and subjective blurring of vision with haloes .We excluded cases that underwent surgical treatment of AACG. The age of patients ranged from 30 to 79 years, with a mean of 58.8 ±16 years , while the age of normal participants ranged from 21 to 65 years, with a mean of 40.3 ±14 years .
We found statistically significant difference in OCV between the different eye groups. OCV has 90.0% sensitivity and 75.0% specificity at cut off value above >0.1045. But we found a modest correlation between OCV, age and C\D ratio. There was a significant difference between three groups regarding; C\D ratio (p value =0.006). LT (p value =0.008), AL (p value <0.001) and ACD (p value <0.001). In normal eyes group parameters were as following; C\D ratio was 0.09, LT was 4.42, AL was 23.89, ACD was 3.28. In fellow eyes group parameters were as following; C\D ratio was 0.36, LT was
