CLASSIFICATIONS OF GATED COMMUNITIES IN EGYPT

Abstract

Gated communities are one of the new urban approaches proposed by many political, economic, and social movements in response to them. Private societies are becoming part of global urbanization patterns, and part of the campaign for globalization that promotes unique urban governance. In Egypt, many segments of society resorted to closed residential communities, and Egypt’s development plans have been devoting a high percentage of their investments to the formulation and implementation of these communities. therefore, the aim of this study is to identify gated communities in Egypt through their development and classify it.
