Abstract


The reproductive cycle of the marine prawns (family Penaeidae)
requires the presence of a female complementary apparatus tits for the
attachment and storage of the spermatophores deposited by male on one
hand and the success of fertilization process on the other. It is the thelycum
(the Greek word = woman-like).
